My work is an ongoing, lifelong exploration of archives and memory, shaped by personal experience and a potentially neurodiverse way of perceiving and processing the world. Through photography and visual memory notes, I examine how memories are formed, held, and revisited within consciousness.
It develops as an evolving archive composed of interconnected strands that emerge over time.
Photographs function as fragments of lived experience rather than direct documentation.
The mental notes attributed to visual memories - associative notes or diagrammatic notes - allow for the tracing of the movement between working memory and long-term memory. This in itself reflects the non-linear ways thoughts and recollections surface and reorganise.
The printing and developing process is integral to the work, the temporal and chemical transformations .
